This print is bound in Volume I of Oeuvres. Jombert published his collection of Le Pautre in 1751. Volume I contains "desseins... pour la décoration des maisons, etouches, edifices;." This print is part of a series of six plates depicting bedrooms in the Italian style. However, it is was placed in the series Alcôves a la romaine by Jombert.
