This print is bound in Volume I of Oeuvres. Jombert published his collection of Le Pautre in 1751. Volume I contains "desseins... pour la décoration des maisons, etouches, edifices;." This print is part of a series of six plates depicting beds in the Roman style. The series was published by Étienne Gantrel, by Nicolas Langlois in his Architecture à la mode.
