This print is bound in Volume I of Oeuvres. Jombert published his collection of Le Pautre in 1751. Volume I contains "desseins... pour la décoration des maisons, etouches, edifices;." This print is part of a series of six plates depicting bedrooms as the settings for scenes from Roman history. The series was published by Jean II Leblond in 1667 and by Samuel Sympson.
