Vulture Pectoral

New Kingdom

On view at The Met Fifth Avenue in Gallery 118

This Vulture pectoral, probably depicting the goddess Nekhbet, was a traditional funerary emblem. It probably comes from the same burial as a falcon-head broad collar with falcon-head terminals (26.8.102)
