Plate 3 of a series of designs for doors and mantel pieces. This design presents a gate with an arch, two ionic colums on either side, between which are decorations of shields. On the attic is an inscription. Over the attic is a plinth with an eagle depicted on it. The statue on the plinth is that of a crowned woman holding a quiver and halberd with her right hand and a scale with her left. On either side of the plinth are trophies of war and a prisoner.
