A trimmed impression of a dated print by Ribera, in which the lower margin has been cut off. Ribera repeatedly treated the subject of the martyrdom of Bartholomew, as attested by paintings in the Palazzo Pitti, the Museo de Arte de Catalonia, and the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm.
