The Unicorn, Stirling

Sir David Young Cameron British, Scottish

Not on view

A view of Broad Street in Stirling, Scotland with a unicorn sculpture at center, two figures reclining on the unicorn's plinth and shops in the background. This scupture was part of the town's Mercat Cross, which designated squares in a burgh where citizens were granted the right to hold a regular market or fair. The unicorn portrayed in this etching is the only remaining part of the twelfth century Stirling Cross.
