The cobbler leans over his wife who is tied to a chair with her wrists bound. With his awl between his teeth he pulls at the threads with which he is stitching up her mouth. Another woman holds a candle over them at right.

This print is a reverse copy of 59.533.1514, and does not include the woman holding the candle or the background.
