Not on view

Jacquemart made this print after the painting (71.73) by Van der Helst as part of a portfolio of prints celebrating the founding collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The sitter appears at a slightly tilted angle in the etching when compared with the painting today, which suggests the work was framed differently when the etcher made his copy.
