From Miss Jell-O: World Costumes (F216-1) issued by The JELL-O Company, Inc. (F216-1). Tri-fold booklet with text and recipes. Set of 12. Opens to 8 1/4" (folds out vertically). Drawing image of girl in traditional ethnic costume of country on front panel of card. When card opens up the girl is portrayed on page underneath with a named Jell-O dessert. Full panel includes dessert product advertising, recipes, "Jell-O Rules" (for how to cook) and an estimate of "food values" including a calorie count. The artist Franklin King, working for an ad agency, modeled the "Jell-O Girl" and "Miss Jell-O" after his blonde daughter Elizabeth making her the recognizable "face" of the brand. Series includes "Jell-O Miss World Costumes", "Jell-O Girl Visits Countries", "Miss Jell-O Foreign Fairy Tales", "Jell-O Children's Tales", "The Jell-O Girl Calendar/Months Booklets", "The Jell-O Girl Visits in North America", and "Miss Jell-O Fairy Tales".
