Not on view

This scrapbook was compiled during the first decade of the nineteenth century, likely by a student or associate of Percier and Fontaine’s. The pieces of paper that have been pasted onto the pages of a blank account book consist of iterative sketches, finished designs, copies after executed works of art, and other drawings and prints used as inspiration in the design process. They reflect numerous projects and ideas, realized over a number of years, and offer insight into the working practice of the well-established workshop run by Percier and Fontaine.
