Plate 27, View of the Arco dei Pantani in the Forum of Augustus (identified in the inscription as the neighboring Forum of Nerva). The remains of the portico of the Temple of Mars Ultor, which was later built into a monastery, are visible at left. Below this plate is an unnumbered image titled "Lion antique" with a sculpture of a lion. These two images appear facing page 37, the first of two pages describing the Arch.
