Plate 28, Capriccio with the Trajan's Column and five obelisks: the obelisk of Temple of Aesculapius (later Basilica of St. Bartholomew on the Island) from the Tiber Island, the obelisk from Villa Medici (now in the Boboli Gardens), the obelisk from the Campus Martius (shown broken in two parts on the ground), the obelisk from the Piazza della Minerva, and the obelisk from in front of the Lateran Palace. This is one of twenty-nine full-page images in this volume and faces the first of three pages describing Trajan's Column. The five obelisks in this view, identified in the inscription, are described in a separate section of text on pages 41 to 44.
