Unnumbered plate with a fragment of a relief, with a fallen soldier seen in profile. The figure has a shield over his left arm, while his right arm is lifted by the hand of an unseen figure. This image appears below plate 24, "Vue des restes de chambres Sepulchrales sur l'ancienne voie Appia hors de Porte St. Sebastien." These two images face page 22, which contains text describing the remains of the sepulchre.
