Placed in the Wilton Album among the work of Bartolomeo Passerotti, these etchings appear to be close in design and format to Flemish etchings of the mid-sixteenth century. The free handling and etching technique, however, have much in common with Bolognese and northern Italian etchings of the later sixteenth century
