Design for a Frame with a Large Oval Compartment and Four Medallions
Design for a decorative frame with an oval-shaped central compartment and four medallions in the four corners of the frame. The decorations consists largely of vegetal scrolls that were likely to be worked out in relief, as suggested by the hatched background. The design has been quartered by a horizontal and vertical line, but no true variants are introduced.
