Plate 17, Cross-section of Columbarium of Livia, discovered along the Via Appia in 1726 and now destroyed. Two figures are in the foreground at left. This plate appears below plate 16, the second of three views of a cross-section of the Columbarium. Unlike most pages of images in this volume, this one contains two plates, rather than a numbered plate at top with an unnumbered image below. These two images appear after page 16, which contains a portion of the chapter describing the Columbarium of Livia.
