Plate 31, Capriccio with the Pyramid of Cestius, first milestone (Miliaria) on the Appian Way, the Navicella Fountain, and the Rostral Column of Gaius Duilius (Columna Rostrata C. Duilii). Two figures appear in the foreground among other architectural fragments. This image, one of twenty-nine full-page plates in the volume, faces page 51, which describes these monuments under the title "Colonne Milliare et quelques autres morceaux."
